If I have a chartbook with detached windows, those windows resize & rearrange themselves every time I switch to another account on windows and then switch back to my trading account. This does not occur for non-Sierra Charts windows. The main Sierra Chart window does not resize / rearrange itself ... only detached charts.

We have to be very clear about this. This is not Sierra Chart causing this problem and we cannot provide any help with this. This is not worth our time to get involved in something that we have no control over.

It appears to me there are two variables here: Windows 10 and Sierra Charts. Two observations though: 1) I haven't noticed this behavior in previous versions of windows, which suggests that the first variable - Windows 10 is the source of the issue 2) At the same time I haven't noticed this behavior in other applications running on windows 10, which suggests that the second variable - Sierra Charts is the source. However, given those two conflicting conclusions, isn't a more accurate conclusion that the source of the issue is the implementation of SC detached windows as well as the way Windows 10 is handling those detached windows? I'm raising this not to assign blame but so I can gain further clarification on how I could proceed towards finding a solution. When you mention This is not worth our time to get involved in "something" that we have no control over, could I gain some clarification on what that something is so I can better communicate it on the windows forums and possibly surface the issue? |

2. This is impossible. Sierra Chart will never change the size or position of a detached chart window after it is opened as part of a Chartbook. Only you can do that. I'm sorry you are absolutely correct. I found a fix and it has nothing to do with SC. For anyone else's reference if you encounter the same issue, in Window's control panel, disable the new Window Snapping feature. That's what was causing the issue (apparently when you use that feature to snap windows to portions of your screen, it internally doesn't change the absolute position of the window! So instead, if you manually size the detached windows to your desired size or use another program that manually moves your windows into whichever corner of your screen you want, then everything works hunky dory).
