I have Interactive Brokers for futures trading but it is set up with TWS on a Mac computer. I don't particularly want to change this right now.

Sierra Charts is on a Vista pc laptop. I would like to use CQG as a data feed for Sierra charts with no trading on the laptop and keep the IB/TWS intact for trading on the Mac.

The CQG data is better than IB and TWS doesn't do real TPO charts like Sierra. The TPO charts are what I want to have available.

I have just started a trial with Sierra and so far, so good. but the SC Forex data is inadequate for ES/e-mini futures charts and I'm not convinced about CL futures data either.

How can I accomplish the CQG data for Sierra Charts ?

Thank you

We are not really sure about this. Sierra Chart does support CQG:

CQG Trading Platform Service

Our understanding is the way to access CQG is to get a CQG account through a futures broker that supports CQG. Some of them are listed on that page.

I would also like the answer to this. I am an IB customer and thinking of using CQG data only at some point, as they are the only data feed with access to so many exchanges.

Sierra is by far the best charting platform, but it currently has no way, unless cqg can do what I'm asking, of working with a truly diverse data feed provider. Your feed is very good but also very limited.

Esignal, another feed with dozens of supported exchanges is not supported. The exclusion of those two shuts the door to users of those exchanges (SGX, OSE, ASX, KRX to name a few) and is a wasted opportunity. TWS data of those exchanges is not good enough. I have a friend who is using Multicharts, which imo is a joke compared to SC, for this sole reason. He needs access to more exchanges and uses it with Esignal.

I know you are dealing with too much lately, but this is a strategy you need to consider.

Regarding this from the first post. The Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed provides ES and CL futures data and this is high-quality data. Low latency and complete tick by tick data. There is no filtering.

If CQG has the exchanges that you require, our understanding is you just need to open an account with the CQG broker and have your CQG account authorized for those exchanges and you will receive both historical and real-time market data and be able to trade those markets from Sierra Chart. If the symbols you need are not listed in Sierra Chart already, just let us know and we will have them added. This is no problem.

As far as using CQG for market data only, every time we ask CQG about this, we do not either get an answer or the answer is that you need to have a trading account with a CQG broker.

Ok, let's say I did also have an account with a CQG broker. Would I then be able to use the CQG data with a second SC copy connected to TWS?

Yes as long as the decimal point position is the same between the price data from CQG and Interactive Brokers for the same symbol.
