Hi,

I recently opened an account with Infinity (TransAct) for futures trading. I am using their AT Charts platform, but I need real time data for the SPX index.

I have installed Sierra Charts on my computer and linked it to my TransAct account. How can I get real time SPX data? I understand that I can buy data access for S&P Indices, but I'm not sure if that's the only thing, and I can assume that CME data will come through my TransAct linked account. Please let me know.

Thanks!

So what you need to do is set Sierra Chart to use your TransAct account by following the instructions here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/TransAct.php#SetupInstructions

And activate the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed with S&P Indices exchange. Instructions for that are here:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed

The symbol for the S&P 500 index is $INX

Thanks for the info. How does the pricing work then? When I link Sierra to my TransAct account, I get the live data feed that I have paid for through my broker. If I add the S&P Indices as you have explained, do I only need to pay the additional $3.25 per month?

Thanks!

You need to pay for a Sierra Chart service package and the pricing can be found here:
Description of Service Packages and Pricing

This page here explains the pricing for the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed:

You have to pay more than just the exchange fee. It is not that inexpensive.
