Is it possible by now, to change settings (Targets, Stop and Quantity) in a twconfig file other than by hand? Reason for that: Most often moneymanagement calculations are done with Excel. It would be nice, if the Excel results (Targets, Stop, Quantity) could be "exported" into the twconfig file. Please note, that I'm not asking for a whole exporting routine, just a possibility to interact/write into the twconfig file. Is this in any way possible yet? If not, would you please consider adding this in the near term? I had asked for that before about 1 year ago. Here's the link with some ideas how this could be done (posts #1, #3, #6). http://www.sierrachart.com/supportboard/showthread.php?p=217496#post217496 |

The user has some control of the Child orders using the Trade Management by Study study, which can use values from a spreadsheet study. https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_AttachedOrders.html#StudyControlledTargetsStops Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-07-03 13:28:53

Thanks for your input Tom! Most important though would be the ability to externally (or with a spreadsheet study) change the quantity in a twconfig file. An advantage of trading FX or CFDs (over futures) is to be able to do a very "fine" quantity scaling. Hopefully SC sees an easy/efficient way to add this possibilty. |
