in writing formulas, are there operators for 'crossing from above', 'crossing from below', slope, mod, power etc. I do see operators for +, -, etc |

If you are writing Simple Alerts formulas, the result must be TRUE/FALSE. http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_AlertCondAndScan.html#AlertConditionFormulaFormat Spreadsheet formula results can be T/F or values. Many of the spreadsheet functions can be used in Simple Alerts formulas. http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_SpreadsheetFunctions.html#AvailableFunctions |

There are the CROSSFROMBELOW and CROSSFROMABOVE functions which are documented here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_SpreadsheetFunctions.html#AvailableFunctions Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. The functions given in post #3 do work for Simple Alert formulas. We do not understand this question: is there an operator for slope other than for linear regression? There is no such thing as an operator for slope. Operators are very simple, like addition and subtraction. And we do not understand the relationship to linear regression. 1. let me make sure I understand. Are you saying that functions listed under spreadsheet will also work for simple alerts? 2.you have a slope fn for linear regression Format: SLOPE(KnownYs, KnownXs) Calculates the slope of the linear regression line through a set of x and y values. I am looking for a similar function for T3 and Time Series Forecast. 3. can you confirm that you call classical Time Series Forecast "Moving Linear Regression"? |

1. Some of them will. The ones that require arrays or ranges of data will not work unless you manually specify those values. 2. You are going to have to work out the details of this and construct it. You might want to start out using the Spreadsheet Study: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_SpreadsheetStudy.html You can also base a study on another study and this is documented here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartStudies.html#BasedOn There is also the Study Angle study: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_TechnicalStudiesReference.html#s231 3. For information about how this is calculated, refer to: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_TechnicalStudiesReference.html#s104 Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
