Currently the "Swing High and Low" study within Sierra offers an "Allow Equal High/Low Bars" line item with a "Yes/No" choice.

All charts displayed below use a strength of -10- for High/Low and orange ellipses highlight the points of emphasis.

This is a chart with the "Yes" option selected:

This is a chart with the "No" option selected:

As you can see in this 2nd chart, there are no dots present in the ellipses.

My question revolves around a potential option to allow for these equal high/lows but only plot the most recent occurrence. IOW, a valid swing high could have equal or lower highs prior to it (to the left), but only lower highs beyond it (to the right). A valid swing low could have equal or higher lows prior to it, but only higher lows beyond it. An example of what that would look like:

Basically all equal valued plots to the left within the strength value chosen would be ignored and the process would "reset" in essence.

I have an idea of how this could possibly be achieved using the Spreadsheet study but wanted to try this avenue first in case this was a rather simple modification/addition.

Thx.

Using the new spreadsheet study and adding one instance of the Swing High & Low study with pivot strength 10:

Swing High's = Column AA
Swing Low's = Column AB

In my current chart, the first swing high occurs in AA17

So at this point, if I'm going to use column K (referencing column C for Highs) for my own swing high plots, K17 needs to be greater than K16 up to K7. No problem except formula origination needs to occur in K3 so how do I reference future bars from K3.
