I've coded a take Profit / Stop Loss using Open P/L $j$10.
The Stop Loss code =$j$10<=49.1 works as expected.
The Take Profit code =$j$10>=49.1 NEVER EXECUTES
Help please

BTW - My broker (Transact) does NOT support ANY OCO or BRACKET orders from Sierra!

Request that Sierra upgrade Trading Spreadsheet with two lines for TAKE PROFIT and STOP LOSS to work as an OCO.

More info is needed as to why your take profit formula doesn't work.

Most brokers do not offer server-side management of OCO orders, but OCO orders can be managed on your computer by Sierra Chart. This is done by using an Attached Orders configuration.

If you need to use a formula for your target and stop levels, you can set the initial Attached Orders' target and stop prices in cells J80, J81. You can then modify those levels using the Trade Management By Study study that references formulas on the spreadsheet. Or you could place an Attached Orders OCO target and stop but exit with a formula in L3/N3.

All of the functionality you want is already available.

1. Re the Take Profit - what info do you need. I can watch OpenP/L accumulate positive numbers that exceed my 49 test target. It never executes. I have tried every order type - J71-74. Nothing. But the similar code for stop loss works as expected.
2. I do not see an option in the spreadsheet to automatically send an Attached Order. There certainly should be one. When I set the Use Attached Order to ON in the order pad, and the spreadsheet then generates an order - it does NOT activate unless I manually hit the Order Pany Buy / Sell/ Making it USELESS.

I am TOTALLY FRUSTRATED WITH SIERRA SPREADSHEET AUTOMATION. I have wasted hundreds of hours on this. It is great for charts and indicators and apparently a POS for automation. I POINT OUT THAT THERE IS NOT A VIABLE PROFITABLE LONG AND SHORT WORKING SPREADSHEET MODEL POSTED ANYWHERE. Lots of very simple 1 dimensional unrealistic examples, but not a single profitable working model. Why?

SOMETHING IS REALLY ROTTEN HERE.

I've built dozens of functional spreadsheet autotrading systems for myself and others. Whether they are profitable is an entirely different discussion.

If they are not profitable what good are they?
