how far back can historical data go?

from what I can tell the farthest I'm able to go back is 2002, however I believe there is a way to get data further and "patch" it in the data folder, is this capable>? if so can you please tell me how to, thanks.

How far back data is available depends upon the symbol. What is the symbol? 2002 may be as far back as you can go.

If you do have data further back from another source, you can add it to the Historical Daily data file by editing the file and pasting it in. You can edit the file through Edit >> Edit Data-Historical Chart.
