I would like to export my custom study output values along with price data using Write Data to File study. I want to use that data in genetic programming. Is that possible or do I have to create my own ACSIL function to do that? Thanks |

This can be done by using the Spreadsheet study: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_SpreadsheetStudy.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Managed to create sheet with columns containing all required indicator values but now I don't know how to move it to Excel 1) Use Excel option - YES - got error/exception (Unknown exception caught in Spreadsheet Study function. | 2015-07-03 10:22:38) 2) Save as TXT - cannot use any column delimiter like comma or semicolon so Excel cannot make columns from it 3) Simple Copy/Paste - could not find how to do this can you help, please? Thanks a lot Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-07-03 15:40:18

1. This is not unusual and we do not recommend this. 2. The column delimiter is a tab character. And this is the method we recommend using by saving the Sheet as a text file. 3. The Copy commands are on the Spreadsheet menu. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
