Trading DOM Always Visible

I can't find any way to get a Trading DOM except as part of a Chartbook. So, I select "Chart Window Always Visible" in the Trading DOM so I can change between various Chartbooks while this Trading DOM, and its Time and Sales Window, remain visible. When I switch from one Chartbook to another, about five seconds later, the market depth numbers will vanish and disappear. They reappear gradually, and sometimes they are garbled and overlaid on each other. This behavior seems inconsistent, but I'm not sure about that. I've tried opening the same contract in each of the chartbooks, but that seems to have no effect at all. I'm using v983 connected to TT FIX with Full Book requested. |

We will resolve this in the next release. Although, the market depth should not be stopped for a symbol which is no longer visible when switching between Chartbooks in the case of TT. Two images: With each, I waited until the numbers began to re-populate, then I quickly captured the image. The second one caught the "overlays". The market depth level is 10. Each level should be populated with a number. This was happening even before I added the Volume By Price study. I just checked: it also occurs with Trade Simulation Mode Off. http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1370588240211.png http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1370588380545.png Thank you. OK, we have an idea of what the problem could be. Hopefully this should be resolved in the next release.

I just noticed in the Message Log that when I change chartbooks, I get a message print of "Unsubscribed from market depth data for " the contract that I'm interested in maintaining market depth data for, and then another message of "Requesting market depth updates for: " a different contract, based on the newly opened chartbook. Hope this is helpful for you in determining why I keep losing market depth data. |
