Hi a) I want to extend parallel lines left and right to infinity. more and more im having to add a ray to extend it and this gives inaccuracies. b) Also is there a way to combine the linear regression tool with parallel rays/lines. see this 40sec video for an explanation. http://1drv.ms/1M6NxAO |

Use the Extended Line drawing tool: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Tools.html#LineRay Use the Make Line Parallel command: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Tools.html#MakeLineParallel We will also add an option to the Parallel Rays drawing tool to extend the lines in both directions. However, this can be done now by right clicking on the drawing and selecting Extend Drawing. If you do not see that command, add it to the Chart Shortcut Menu: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Tools.html#CustomizingCDMenu Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. is there a way i can snap a new line to a previous drawn line? The Linear Regression tool i use, i dont use the standard deviations but like to pull to my own pivots using the parallel line tool. This requires me to follow the linear regression centre line with a new line and it can be difficult to catch it properly, whereas if i can snap to it, this would be better. |
