The "High/Low for a Time Period" Chart Study doesn't work. Vs. #1259. I've tried several times over the course of a week and it freezes my computer every time. No other study does this. When I hit "OK" it freezes and I have to reboot Sierra Charts. See uploaded screenshot. |

Nothing has changed with these studies. We can also tell from the screen image, that there is a good probability there are a lot of bars in the chart which will cause the study to take a lot of time to do the calculations initially. Select Chart >> Chart Settings and reduce the days to load to 7. Does that solve the problem when adding this study? Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. No, it doesn't solve it. I changed days to load to be one (1), and the same thing,...freezes (not the computer, just Sierra Charts). As I said, I put a lot other studies on without any problems (ie: Square 9 etc)and you would think those would be more complicated then a simple hi/low. And all other studies load no problem even with my 365 days load. As I said, just that study(I haven't used all studies obviously, but square9,Summation, Ask Bid, Better Volume, etc). Regardless, Im using the Daily OHLC, even tho I only use the lo/hi.

What we need you to do is set the Days to Load in Chart >> Chart Settings to 1 again today after the market opens, and try applying the High/Low For Time Period study to the chart. If there still is a problem, provide us a Chartbook containing one chart set up as you are using it just before you apply the High/Low for Time Period. Here are the instructions to attach it: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#AttachFile Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. We were able to duplicate this problem and because you apparently are using a 1 trade per bar chart, then this takes a lot of time to do the calculations. We will see how we can make it faster.
