Need help understanding on how to transfer data to excel

I have a friend who has excel but does not have sierra chart. I am trying to send him Crude oil data since June 1st 2012 so we can do some analysis. Can i just drag the Crude oil data from the ''DATA'' folder from my hard drive ? Then email it to my friend

It depends. Are you referring to an Intraday chart or a Historical Daily chart?
