Until a couple of months ago the trading DOM P&L calculation appeared to work perfectly (it is set to LIFO). Now it works sometimes, that is I can buy 1 and see the entry point, buy 1 again and see the average entry price, sell 1 and see one at the original entry price. Other times, in the middle of the day, it appears to download the average entry price from Interactive Brokers. Interactive Brokers does not support real-time LIFO, so the profit/loss calculation is wrong and inconsistent between P/L and Daily P/L. How can I control this, so that SC only updates from IB when I ask it to (e.g. at the beginning of the day or when I know a position has been changed outside of SC? |

We will add an option to control whether the Sierra Chart calculated Position Average Price is used or the one from Interactive Brokers. Recent versions use the Interactive Brokers provided average price for positions. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Is there any work around for getting the P&L to calculate correctly until this gets fixed? Even unclicking LIFO I cannot get a meaningful number out of Sierra Chart P&L when it uses the IB average price. Even if I could, it would not be very useful since I want LIFO.

We have added the option to use the Sierra Chart calculated Trade Position Average Price, a while ago instead of the Interactive Brokers calculated one. It is in Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings. Set Use IB Provided Position Average Price to No. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
