Hi, since I updated my SC to 1241 it got much slower. My CPU is running at 60% and RAM at 50% but Sierra is choppy when I am moving the charts. In previous version I had the option to cut the data files based on certain amount of MB. I cannot find this option now. I found one option in data/trade service settings - data file management, where you can compress the data but when I run it it is like neverending story and it is trying to compress 256 files. Do you think this will help? Are there any other options how to improve performance? Thanx, P. |

Refer to help topic 30: Http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails30.html Are you using Spreadsheets? Compressing the data files is not likely to help. Compressing the data files does take time. You potentially should allow many hours for that procedure. So it is recommended to do it over a weekend.
