I am trying to use email alert feature to send text alert. My wireless carrier allows sending texts as emails by specifying the send to address as phone-number@txt.att.net in the email address filed on global settings -> alerts (general3) window. However, I am getting an error message that says "Your email provider blocking Alert Emails" when an alert is triggered. I have tested sending texts as emails separately (outside of Sierra Chart) and is working fine. Please let me know if Sierra Chart itself is not allowing it. Thanks

We do not support sending alerts to any of the att.net domains. The reason is that they block the alert emails.

Was this changed due to SC charging .05 for every text message that is sent att.net. Back when I was with SC in 2014 I could use that function all the time.

Sierra Chart only charges for SMS messages sent to mobile phones. Not to email addresses. We cannot send to that domain, otherwise we risk getting blacklisted. We have no control over the volume of email alerts being sent by a user, and we have been blacklisted by that domain. And it is quite a lot of effort to get removed from the blacklist.
