Automatic connection works with Data/Trade Settings for IB.(User/Password). IB also uses a Security Code Card Authentication (Enter two Numbers). When this Box Appears, as soon as I start typing the number, it states "Login Failed." How do I fix? |

You must select Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings. Remove the Username and Password from the Connection Details. You definitely cannot use them there in this particular case.

Hi SC / Board members, I have the further authentication using a security code card (over and above the username & password). Is there anyway this can be turned off upon request to IB in order to allow auto logging in by SC: NB: auto logging seemed to be working fine with username and password entered correctly but SC got confused when the additional dialogue box for the security card numbers popped up, SC entered into a recurring loop and I manually disconnected to exit the loop. What are other IB users doing, logging onto TWS manually for each SC session? Thanks for your help and regards |
