After upgrading from 1241 to 1247 Pre Release I am suddenly getting Run-Time Check Failure #2 - Stack around the variable '__' was corrupted. for variables from a custom study that worked smoothly on 1241 and also getting Circular reference errors on the SC message log that never appeared on 1241.
After downgrading back to 1241 all error messages stop.

Our first look into what we suspected could be the problem did not identify it as the problem. So we are still thinking about this.

If it is not a problem could you install 1247 into another folder and recompile your custom study using that version and let us know if there is still a problem. This will help us better understand the source of the problem.

Ok, Upgraded to 1247 pre release.
Built the study again (with Visual C++).
When trying to build on 1247 getting a message "error C2039: 'GetChartDrawing' : is not a member of 's_sc'"

Were any changes made to the sc.GetChartDrawing() function ?

This has a new name. It is: sc.GetUserDrawnChartDrawing

The renaming of that function cannot be the cause of the problem that you had. So something else is causing the original problem and we are not sure what it is.

We will continue to think about this and see if there are other reports of a similar problem.
