Okay silly question, I noticed a few times that the values of my indicators move around from one column to another on their own. Say yesterday, Tenkan Sen was in column AC, I saved my work. Today I opened SC again, and now TS values appear to be in column AH. As I build a formula yesterday, this value is worthless today, as having Kijun Sen being a part of the formula. I am wondering what I'm missing here. Please advise. Thank you in advance for your support. BT |

The output of indicators to the spreadsheet is determined by the order of studies in the Studies to Graph list. If you add, remove, or rearrange them, their output columns will change. If you are using the New Spreadsheets version, you can use the new alternative reference method: [OptionalSheetName!]ID[StudyIDNumber].SG[SubgraphNumber]@[RowNumber] Example: Sheet5!ID1.SG2@3 Using the new format will eliminate most of the column-changing situations. |

@tomgilb Thanks Tom! I haven been aware of the fact that the order of the studies should not be changed, so I did not change that over time. However, the values continue to move around the sheet by themselves. I've read about this new reference method, but it is not clear where to put a code like Sheet5!ID1.SG2@3 Should it be in a specific cell? The code itselves does not represent a formula as far as I understand. So should I build formulas with this new format?? The documentations just mentions The cell reference format is [Study ID].[Subgraph number]@[Row number].
Examples: ID1.SG1@3 Just that. Not where to put it or how to use it. It seems quite brief at least to me. |

For example: Instead of =AA3>AA4 use this: =ID1.SG1@3>ID1.SG1@4 The Sheet#! reference is only used if you are referencing a cell on another sheet. |

However, the values continue to move around the sheet by themselves. This is an impossibility unless the number of Study Subgraphs for a study is changing which is unusual. However, if you are using the Study/Price Overlay study, you could see something which could possibly give you this impression. This is documented here:https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_StudiesSystemsAlerts.php#OrderofStudyDataOutputted Also, we have updated the documentation here on the new study subgraph referencing method: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Spreadsheets.html#ReferencesStudySubgraphColumnsSpreadsheetStudy Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
