I have "support reversals " set to true in the automated strategy code. Is there another setting needed to reverse positions from long to short , or from short to long ? e.g. when I have an open long position and a short signal happens, it ignores the short signal, even though I have support reversals set to true. This is ASCIL I am referring to. shane |

Possibly. Does the Trade >> Trade Service Log show a message at the time of the the short signal? If so, what?

What function are you calling for the "short signal"? Refer to the documentation here for debugging: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ACSILTrading.html#DebuggingTradingSystems Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. after trial and error testing, the code setting had to do with " allow entry with working order " it has to be set to true. It applies with spreadsheet settings also. |
