Suggestion to improve order entry. Traders are likely more interested in what position they want, than the mechanics of trading into that position. Sierra supports buy / sell a predetermined quantity. But what about a feature to change the net position in the selected chart/contract to a predetermined quantity? ie 5 user customisable buttons, as shown. User starts off flat, presses "-5", sells 5 at market. Later, user wants to be long 15, so presses "+15" and Sierra cancels all open orders and places a buy 20 at market order. Requesting a zero position would be the equivalent of the existing "flatten" button. Bonus if these buttons can be linked to keyboard hotkeys. This feels more intuitive than the user first needing to work out the difference between current position and desired position, changing of quantities, and multiple clicks. This is especially challenging for traders managing multiple short term positions in different contracts. |

A 0 position is just equivalent to the already existing Flatten button. Is there any other support for this idea? Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
