When using the "POC VAH VAL lines only" draw mode, these three lines draw as expected. However, when "volume profiles, POC, VAH, VAL" is used, only the POC shows along with the profile. see attached picture |

I use volume profiles, POC, VAH, and VAL and have no issues. Are you sure those red bars aren't supposed to be your VAH and VAL? It seems like the sub-graphs might have been configured explicitly.

The red areas are extended rectangles drawn near val/vah. Using the "lines only" setting, the vah/val lines show, but not in the mode described above.

Check the Draw Style on the Subgraph tab for the Value Area High and Low Value Subgraphs.

Thank you -- however the VAH/VAL subgraphs are being set to Ignore automatically. To reproduce: 1) Set the draw mode to "volume profiles & poc/vah/val" - Say OK (not enough to apply changes only) 2) Set the mode to "poc/vah/val only" - Say OK 3) Set the mode to "vol profiles only" - Say OK 4) Set the mode back to "volume profiles & poc/vah/val" - Say OK You will see that the VAH/VAL are not visible, because the subgraph visibility has been changed internally to Ignore. A further issue with drawing this. When moving the left edge of a drawn VbP, it is leaving behind artifacts showing old VAH/VAL/POC lines. It is doing this, I suspect, because the chart is not being forced to redraw for some reason, and the market is now closed so no new data coming in. The attached picture is created by moving the left edge 4 times.

I can duplicate similar behavior from post #5. Using "apply" it doesn't become an issue, but when using "ok" it does. In fact, just going from "volume profiles & poc/vah/val" to "vol profiles only" and using "ok" rather than "apply" results in nothing changing other than the POC line going away (VAH/VAL remain). I think the crux setting here is the "extend value area" setting. If I set it to none I can make the lines disappear, but if it's set to "end of window/period" then I'll see them. What's your setting for that, Josh? |

Extend val/vah/poc is all set to None. But they would naturally appear, if the setting were "end of window" or "end of period" ... so, I don't think that this is related.

In regards to post #5. We will check on this. The issue described in post #6 is fixed in 1244. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. BTW: While that section of code is being looked at, any chance we can get value area extension and poc extension fixed to work right with right aligned VbP's? End of window results in it shooting off to the left, which on the surface makes logical sense, but it should probably be extending to the right (starting from beginning of period) in all cases as that's a heck of a lot more helpful. End of period kinda works, but the lines won't extend into fill area.

This is now all resolved in the latest prerelease although this does not include post #10.
