When I have too many different chart books open at once my computer tends to overload and shut down, to avoid this i am wondering if there is a way to have 2 chart books open at once but one chart book is not connected .

No, but this would not make a CPU difference of any significance. What does make a difference is minimizing a chart window because it removes the graphics load from it. Does mimimizing the window help on the inactive chartbooks as well ? Or just on the active chartbook ? |

If a Chartbook is not visible, there is no graphics load from it to begin with.

Hello, On that note, is there a way to disconnect one (or a set of chart) in a Chartbook from the datafeed ? The objective would be to minimise data latancy ? |

There is still no way to do what you are asking. Any open chartbooks are going to be downloading the necessary data for the charts and processing any studies.

You could open another instance, update the charts, and disconnect the feed. Obviously, the charts won't get updated unless you reconnect. |
