When I am using the replay and I find the need to hit the reverse button...(not back past where my entry is)... but my trade will sometimes just disappear, as if I didn't even place it. why is it doing this? This is yet another glitch that is preventing me from being able to utilize this software. It's really driving me crazy because this is (or should be) one of the best simulation softwares available. I just need it to work as it is intended. Does anyone else run into this problem? Please help! |

This is not clear for us. You are making mention of the Reverse button and then the subject line you make reference to jumping back during the replay. When you jump back, only the order fills up to the last bar in the chart will be loaded. Any order fills which have occurred subsequent to that, will not be loaded and that will alter your position. What you are seeing is completely normal and expected. So for example if you were to dig a hole in the ground and then go back in time before you dug the hole, would you expect the hole to still be there? I guess that makes sense. I thought that sometimes it altered trades that were still 'after' the point I backed up to...but perhaps that was not the case. The other thing I would mention is that it doesn't actually alter the trade in the activity log. It essentially becomes a "dud" trade. I mean that when I close it, (assuming it was already closed before this), then it shows up as zero on the activity log for the P&L. That makes sense too I guess. |

One thing that is confusing about backing up before an order fill that has already occurred, is that that order fill will not be loaded, and will never be loaded until the time that it actually occurred at, passes by in the replay and the chart is reloaded. So inherently it gets confusing. The other thing I would mention is that it doesn't actually alter the trade in the activity log. It essentially becomes a "dud" trade. I mean that when I close it, (assuming it was already closed before this), then it shows up as zero on the activity log for the P&L. That makes sense too I guess. Thinking about this, something like this does make sense but we would have to confirm it.
