opening chartbooks in SC 1241

I upgraded my SC and now see lines in the dialog box for opening chartbooks and no way to navigate to my folders that contain certain chartbooks. How can I get the normal dialog box back? Thanks, Larry |

The previous Windows dialog is not supported and never will be again. We will see about adding the capability to the new file/save dialog to navigate to different folders. I was able to convert back to version 1220 to get rid of your ridiculous change in the "look and feel" of my trading platform. What possible reason would you think that we would want this "limitation" in the basic operation of our Windows operating system's dialog box? |

This is not a ridiculous change. What is ridiculous is the Windows operating system dialog. It is heavy, slow, does not always navigate to the proper folder, and crashes on some computer systems. Wow..I just saw this.. Yes, please enhance this quickly! I'm guessing the workaround is to go to \general settings and update the data files folder. I'm no fan of windows coding problems either and completely understand why you are removing these kind of inefficient windows issues. SC support...NO NEED TO REPLY... PLEASE just get a new version with more intuitive interface with selectable directory locations. |

The other "ridiculous" thing is that you can't expand/enlarge the dialog box window. Prior to this version I could expand it and see all my chartbooks in 3 columns in the same window. I want the option to use my usual windows interface. I don't want specific programs to change the way my OS works. A consistent look and feel is important to be able to use multiple programs transparently.
