Hi there, Each time i make a new spreadsheet the data from the specific charts are perfectly outputted in the spreadsheet, with an empty column between each study. But after i save the CB and spreadsheet and open again the spreadsheet is all messed up. The first row doesnt match anymore with the data in the column, see attached file. Can you please tell me what i do wrong? Best regards Bram |

The only explanation for this is that the number of columns being outputted by one of the studies is changing and this is what is causing the problem. Check on this. We are not sure what studies you are using. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. OKay i looked some further into it and it seems only be the problem with the study price overlay's i am using to get the double stochastic from 3 other time frames of the same market into the study. Heard this problem before or any idea how i can solve this? kind regards Bram |

Is the number of subgraphs outputted to the spreadsheet, by the Study/Price Overlay study changing? It is not possible for us to know in your particular case since we do not know what study it is referencing. What study is it referencing? In any case, one solution to the problem is to use the new referencing method so the position of the columns does not matter: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Spreadsheets.html#ReferencesStudySubgraphColumnsSpreadsheetStudy Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I cant see anything that would indicate that the numbers of columns are changing. I use the reference method you are suggesting. The study price overlay is referencing to a double stochastic from another time frame. As you can see in the attached spreadsheet for example in sheet 4. ID11 (180min), ID13 (60min) and ID15 (30min) are double stochastics from other time frames from charts in the same CB. Is it possible to refer in a formula for example in an cell in sheet 4 to a cell in sheet 5? Because this could also solve my problem i think, so i can use that technique instead of using study price overlay |

References between Sheets are supported but not recommended. Here is the documentation: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Spreadsheets.html#CellandRangeReferences Contemplating this problem, we think we understand why it occurs when using the Study/Price Overlay study, and there really is not a solution we can provide. It has to do with the fact that the chart being referenced is not initially loaded during the opening of a Chartbook. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Okay, but besides the problem with the columns the spreadsheet shout work right? Since in the formulas i am referencing to the in row 2 given ID and sub graphs? Next question is can i prevent all this by using ACSIL to write my system in? What can you recommend on this since i have no experience with real programming. Or any good experience with someone programming it for you? |

Once all the charts are loaded, the Study/Price Overlay study will be functioning properly and the data will be outputted to the correct columns on the Spreadsheet. Yes you can prevent this by using ACSIL: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_CreatingDLLs.html Not sure who could help you with the programming. Thanks for your help so far. I will look into ACSIL and probably get back at you about it:-) cheers Bram |
