For some reason I can not get the Tool ( Parallel Lines) to work on my chart. Every other tool works but that one. I am running Sierra Chart through Parallels on my mac.

Do you see anything appear when you start to draw the initial line.

The pencil is activated but when left click and hold to start a line nothing is visual. When I release the mouse at the desired position nothing is shown. The pencil is still activated until I hit the left button once again and then the start and finish spots are shown with black squares. I have made sure that the Tool config. is set up for a visual, black lines on a white background.

Even though you have already checked the colors, just make sure the line colors for Parallel Lines are not the same as the background color.

Refer to the documentation for this here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Tools.html#DrawingToolConfiguration

If that does not help re-download the data in the chart with Edit >>Delete All Data and Download to correct any out of order timestamps in the chart.

Already done, I have changed the color twice just to be sure I have not over looked something. All other tools work fine.

Select Global Settings >> Tool Configs >> Parallel Lines. On the Settings window for that tool press the R button to reset it and press OK after.

And make sure to re-download the data in the chart if you have not already done so.

I already have, but to no avail. I am using SC for nightly research, it is not a live data feed. I know this does not matter but I just want to cover all bases.

Post an image of the chart you are drawing the Parallel Lines on, so we can better understand why there might be a problem.

Provide an image of the chart, by following these instructions:

Do you notice a problem with the Parallel Lines tool with another symbol?

We have tested the drawing tool in the identical chart set up and it works properly:

This is why we told you to press the Reset button but then it seems as though you changed the settings from the default?
