This has been an on again off again issue for me for awhile and I may have isolated a catalyst for the actin Running v1213 Machine: Windows 7 with I3 530 8GB ram, 5 monitors supported by two Nvidia cards. CPU and RAM usage show no overuse when this all occurs. No other programs running other then Transact DOM which remains unaffected during the chart freeze. This condition typically occurs once a week Context: 1 CB open with 6 charts Using lots of drawing tools and some linked drawing chart settings It seems that a command to cut a drawing or otherwise modify a drawing that the CB will then freeze up If I then though go to Tools and erase all drawings the matter does not resolve I have sent my most recent log for analysis just now |

If you mean that the charts stop updating but the user interface is still operable, then the problem is with the data feed. If selecting File >> Disconnect and File >> Connect to Data Feed restarts the data feed then contact TransAct support about this. No th data feed is not he issue. The user interface freezes and is inoperable. THe last few times it has been when I have cut a dotted line is copied to a=other drawings in the CB. I have today downloaded v1224 and the program is working normally. Have you had any other instances of lines etc casuesing issues with freezes? |

We did make a change which would solve a problem like this. Not sure if it addresses your particular scenario. However, update to the latest prerelease of Sierra Chart and let us know if you still see the problem. Hopefully not.

I get freezing of the cursor and lagging operation when I have ES running in my main chartbook but using CL in the tradeDOM of said chartbook. IN this mode my processor just to 13-14% Typically, I see 2%-3% on and i7 with and SSD drive with 16G ram. However if I use 2 chartbooks dedicated for ES and CL the problem does away. |
