Hi, is there an update about when you will add the bar count calculation type for the Volume Value Area Lines study? Apart from that, the time period type doesn't have an option to calculate volume profiles based on seconds. Thanks in advance |

Do you really need seconds for Volume Value Area and Point of Control? We are going to try to start on adding support for all of the various time periods for the Volume Value Area Lines study which are supported with the Volume by Price study. That's great! Calculating volume profiles based on seconds may sound a bit extreme but it's ok if you daytrade. I would also like to report what seems to be a bug: The action of minimizing the Trading Dom closes the Chart Values/Tool Values windows and you have to enable them again. |

Is the Trade DOM attached to the main Sierra Chart window or separate? Actually you can have Volume Profiles based on seconds by setting the chart bars to the number of seconds that you want and setting the Volume by Price study to have Volume Profiles based on a bar count of 1. Yes I know, I have already done what you suggest. One of the main reasons that I have requested the seconds/bar count calculation features for the volume value area lines study is because currently the volume by price study values are not accessible through ACSIL in order to create studies and strategies based on them. So, my hands are tied because of the lack of these features. Regarding the trading DOM issue, I open it through the find symbol option and it's seperate from the main Sierra Chart window. The chart values/tool values windows close only when I minimize the trading DOM not when I close it. Are you able to replicate that? I use the latest version of Sierra Chart.
