Hello Support Team,

trying to dig into building an automated system for backtesting purposes I wonder what tool to start with and concentrate on: either the Spreadsheet System for Trading or an ACSIL Study.
Is there a Link or place somewhere in the documentation discussing Spreadsheets vs. ACSIL?

Thank you for your consideration and pointing into the right direction,

Best,

Chris

ACSIL is going to give you more flexibility and will be faster. So that is the preferred method but it can be more difficult.

Can you elaborate? Just how much faster? Is it noticeably faster? Has there been a performance benchmarking between the two?

ACSIL will be dramatically faster. It depends upon exactly what is being done. It can easily be 10 times or 50 times faster.
