Hello I would like to achieve the chart design on the pic attached with only 1 difference: that the background volume by price on each bar in the number bars will be CENTERED IN THE MIDDLE instead of aligned to the left as it is right now. in case my request isn't clear enough I added a rough sketch of what I'm meaning thank you |

If you are looking for something like this: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1369181817852.png Then all you have to do is for "Background Type" to select "Ask/Bid Volume Split Profile" |

This is controlled through the Numbers Bars V2 Column Background Type inputs: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_NumbersBars.php#BackgroundTypes Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Well I have a different problem/request now: using the V2 number bars there appears to be some weird logic regarding the size of the volume profile in the bidXask: the profile drawn is relative to self and not the entire bar; For example a lot of the bars have the effect like in the attached photo where you have 17 in the bid and 30 in the ask but still the bid volume side looks a lot bigger. or 20X72 but they both look the same size. This is very confusing on the eyes and I have to read the numbers to double check every bar. this kinda beats the whole purpose of have the vbp in the first place. is the any way to fix that? |

This is expected behavior. Each profile is built independently. So for the bar that you highlighted, the max bid across the levels is 20, which determines how bid profile is drawn on the left. The max ask across the price levels is 72, which determines how the ask profile is drawn on the right. The profiles widths are built by looking at the percentage of the bid/ask vs the max bid/ask depending which side you are looking at. Currently, the two sides are independent. |

I guess from my experience developing this shouldn't be too hard to implement :) and I know I'm not the only one who would like to use the ask-bit profile as a whole (I know of some of your clients personally) Hope we will be seeing this in the near future :) thank you for the quick reply |

In 981, when avail, there will be two new options for the background type of a column: * Ask/Bid Volume Split Profile Across Bid & Ask * Ask/Bid Volume Split Profile Across Bid & Ask Outline These are similar to the previous split profiles, but use the max value across price levels for both bid and ask to determine the bar widths. |
