Hello again, I am using spreadsheet for trading and trying to find a way to double the order quantity in case of a loosing trade. The problem for me is that prior position quantity is very unstable: some days I will have an input in the box and other days just zero for the day, so it doesn't work when it needs to double. Is there any other way I can do this without relying on prior position quantity? Thanks. |

Make sure Chart >> Chart Settings >>Advanced Settings >> Load Order Fills for Current Day Only is unchecked.

It is impossible for us to comment on any of this, without a lot of in-depth analysis of precisely what you are doing and precisely what is happening including what is happening with an external trading service and this is not within the scope of our support. We will have a look at the Prior Position Quantity to make sure that it is accurate and stable. We cannot say more than this. We have looked into the Prior Position Quantity field. What this field indicates is the Position Quantity right before a new order fill is processed. If an order fills with multiple fills, then this field will be updated for each of those fills. So it may not be exactly what you are looking for. Prior Position Quantity is calculated using the available order fill data in the Trade >> Trade Activity Log >> Trade Activity tab for the symbol. In Global Settings >> General Trade Settings, the Number of Days to Save in Trade Activity Log controls how many days of data are saved in the log. You may need to adjust that to meet your requirements. For help with understanding trading activity and any problems that arise with that, use the Trade Activity Log >> Trade Activity tab: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TradeActivityLog.php#ViewingHistoricalTA It also will tell you the source of all orders including which automated trading system sent them.
