Hi,

I have setup a simple Alert in multiple charts like Daily/1hr/30m/15m.
I see an option under CHART menu to START the Scan and STOP the scan.

Is it possible to setup this scanning to start every 15 or 30 min?

Please advise..

Thanks

Raj

These symbol alert formulas are continuously monitored as long as they are on open charts.

Did you want the alert formulas evaluated across multiple symbols?

Yes. That is exactly what I want..

The chart may not be open but I want the Alerts be evaluated continuously and send me an email.

I am aware of the Watch list option under chart menu and the Start Scan and Stop Scan option which will either go thru the Watch list or all of the data files in your Sierra data folder.

What I am looking for is -- some sort of a background job running every 15 or 30 min across multiple symbols and multiple charts for each of those symbols so that I can get the Alert email promptly..

I would really appreciate your help..

thanks

Raj

It is not possible to automatically start a scan, but if there is a reasonable number of symbols you want to monitor the alert formula on, even a large number, just open the charts for them and put the Simple Alert Formula on the charts or the studies.

You can load a minimum amount of data in each chart and minimize the chart windows so there will be very little CPU impact from them.
