I open a chart and go to chart settings and for "number of days to load" select "1" and get the following result: ...... HD Request # 4 | Requesting 1 Day of data at 30 secs with ending Date-Time at 2014-10-16 10:59:00 for GOOG | 2014-12-26 12:25:16 HD Request # 4 | Processing historical data message from TWS | 2014-12-26 12:25:17 HD Request # 4 | Received 2680 records and wrote 1792 records from 2014-10-14 18:59:00 to 2014-10-16 10:58:30. | 2014-12-26 12:25:17 HD Request # 4 | IB Backfill - Seconds requested: 86400. Seconds Remaining: 6060549. | 2014-12-26 12:25:24 HD Request # 4 | Requesting 1 Day of data at 30 secs with ending Date-Time at 2014-10-17 10:59:00 for GOOG | 2014-12-26 12:25:24 HD Request # 4 | Processing historical data message from TWS | 2014-12-26 12:25:25 HD Request # 4 | Received 2752 records and wrote 1920 records from 2014-10-15 18:59:00 to 2014-10-17 10:58:30. | 2014-12-26 ....... It appears to be downloading a bunch of 1 days, but I want only 1 one day. |

That setting does not control the amount of days downloaded from the data service.
