Hello, if I use a second instance of SC to receive data from my data feed and the current instance to send orders to my broker, how can I control if the data from the second data feed is displayed in the chart or if it is the date from the broker is used (because when I change to my broker in the first instance it seems that SC loads the chart again). When i create a quote board with several symbols and connect it to the charts, how can i make sure that for these symbols always the data from my data feed and not from the broker is used ? |

You can tell if the data and a chart comes from remote instance by looking at the top of the chart, you will see [R] after the Symbol. Quote Boards do not yet support accessing data from a remote copy of Sierra Chart. We will see if we can add support for this without much difficulty. Thx. I want to use one instance of SC for automatic trading via API with IB, what I found is the following: 1. I can send an order to TWS via chart trading feature but the symbol I buy/sell does appear for a split second on the TWS and then disappears. When I enter it manually it will show the current position I bought/sold. How can I set SC+TWS up so that TWS automatically shows the symbol. 2. Currently I have 4 different charts with different symbols open, all running with the same spreadsheet system. On the spreadsheet there are several sheets and this sheets seems to be assigned to several charts (I can see that in column A1). Can I assume that it is possible to have an "indefinite" # of system running in parallel & all working together with TWS (sending orders). 3. My orders generated from the systems seem not being executed in TWS, in Trade Log I see messages like "Buy Entry is ignored because long position exists" even if there are no long positing existing. 4. Is it possible to trigger orders configured in TWS, e.g. Hot Key orders. 5. Are there any protection mechanisms available if SC crashes while positions in TWS are open. Would be great if you could comment on this. Many thx. |

1. We are not completely clear what you are asking here. We cannot help with TWS itself. 2. Yes, this will work. 3. For help with this, refer to this page: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_AutoTradeManagment.php 4. We do not provide help for TWS. 5. What kind of protection are you looking for?
