Hello, I'd like to know if there is anyway to control the chart loading order. I've developed some custom studies where shorter timeframes reference longer timeframes. Currently when I open a chartbook my custom indicators are not shown correctly because some shorter timeframes are loaded prior to the referenced longer timeframes. Ideally I'd like to be able to load the longer timeframe charts first and then the shorter timeframe charts. Currently when opening a chartbook I have to manually reload each chart starting with the longest timeframe and moving to the shortest timeframe. I tried setting the general setting "Use Controlled Chart Updating" but when I do that, some of my charts don't display any bars at all. Thank you |

This is automatically managed by Sierra Chart. It will fully recalculate charts that are dependent other charts, when those charts are loaded. You will see messages like this in the Message Log indicating this:Chart #2 has tagged chart #1 for full recalculation. Chartbook: Chartbook152.cht | 2014-12-03 13:27:04 Chart #2 has tagged chart #1 for full recalculation. Chartbook: Chartbook152.cht | 2014-12-03 13:27:04 Chart #1 is performing a full recalculation because it has been tagged. Chartbook: Chartbook152.cht | 2014-12-03 13:27:04 So if you are having a problem with this, there must be something else wrong with what you are doing in the study. I tried setting the general setting "Use Controlled Chart Updating" but when I do that, some of my charts don't display any bars at all.
