I would like to pay for some simple custom programming to the swing high/low indicator. I am not sure if you do this kind of work for a fee but am willing to pay to have it done.

I want to change the plot of the swing high low indicator so that it draws dots to the right from the most recent swing low. Dots will stop when either 1) a new higher low is made or price goes below the current swing low..vice versa for swing highs. I have attached an image from the swing high low ninjatrader indicator so you can see what I am requesting.

Please let me know if you can do this and what the price for the programming will be. Thanks.

This can easily be done with the Spreadsheet Study study.
Attached is an example chartbook and spreadsheet file. Put both in your Sierra Chart \Data folder.

Hey,
I know its 10 years ago (!!) but is there a way to get an updated version for this chartbook and spreadsheet please??
I'd like to have the same functionality in a recent SC version, but the chartbook is not compatible.

Sorry, I'm new to the spreadsheet functionality of Sierra Chart.

I've placed both files in the Data folder, and selected "Swing HL Extended+" from the Analysis menu when inside my chart.

A spreadsheet is opened automatically and filled with data.
Two studies have been added to my chart.

But I don't notice any visual response on my chart.

What else do I have to do?

Thanks...

The Swing High and Swing Low study needs to be at the top of the Studies to Graph list.
And it needs to be Hidden.

If you have further issues, download the files in post #6 above.

@Sawtooth - Would it be possible with this spreadsheet study to plot the Swing HL extended on the corresponding Cumulative delta candle? I'm attaching a screenshot for reference. Reason for... it would make it a easier to see hidden divergence.

Would it be possible with this spreadsheet study to plot the Swing HL extended on the corresponding Cumulative delta candle?
Not directly, but it could be done with the Spreadsheet Formula study, using a formula like this in its Formula field:
=IF(ID1.SG3<>ID1.SG3[-1],ID2.SG2,ID4.SG1[-1])
where ID1 is the Swing HL Extended study, ID2 is the Cumulative Delta Bars study, and ID4 is the Spreadsheet Formula study.

Use another Spreadsheet Formula study for the Low.

@Sawtooth - Thank you, that works great. I have one problem that I'm not sure if you would have an idea on how to fix? It looks as though when Cumulative delta is breaking the swing high it's drawing an additional line at the breakout point, and the line extends until a proper swing high line is created on price. Is there a way to remove these additional lines? Please see the attached screenshot.

Try this formula instead:

=IF(AND(ID1.SG3<>ID1.SG3[-1],ID1.SG3<>0),ID2.SG2,ID4.SG1[-1])
