Hi, I am developing custom study which works with external data of executed trades. Plan is that user will be browsing trades in external application and sierachart will be showing chart area where selected trade was executed (date and time). That's why I need to set chart position programmaticaly (via acsil?). Is it possible? Or do you suggest any other solution to achieve this task? Thanks |

This can be done. Refer to this variable: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ACSIL_Members_Variables_And_Arrays.html#scScrollToDateTime Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thanks. I missed it in documentation. I have last questions - what is best way how to control SierraChart application programatically from outside (e.g. scroll chart to certain position)? I was planning to do it via custom study but it's looks to me bit hacky because custom study lifecycle is not suitable to "host" some "server" to control SierraChart app. Or? Thanks |

You could create a Chartbook that contains a chart that contains the custom study. And set that Chartbook to automatically open on start up through Global Settings >> General Settings. That custom study could read a command to scroll to a certain position from a file. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
