Hi, I am running into quite a bit of confusion on the way SC is dividing up bars. I have checked the documentation but I am still not too clear. I am finding bars are not dividing as I might think... When I count the time divisions it seems the bar count is off of my calculations... In this example I switched x min 59 seconds which yielded me the proper bar count but the time is all out of whack. Not sure what to make of all of this... |

This is not clear enough for us. And also make sure that the Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >>Intraday Data Storage Time Unit is 1 second or less.

Am checking all of this.. Only seems to happen when I am using exotic timeframes... I'll keep playing with it more... Also, I can't tell you how much of a great help the Live account balance study is... I have strict loss limits to abide by so this is real helpful. Only problem is, it doesn't save the past data when loading a study or performing other functions. If I leave it sit there it is very useful, but I can't do much to explore the data. Would it be possible that SC could save the past balance data? - Or that it would not clear from the chart? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-03-25 23:47:54

This just means that the first trade was 6 seconds after the minute. That's all.

Thanks so much... This is a huge help... I use that balance to analyze my days work and where I could have done better. I usually throw a B-Band up on there too, but when I change the period it deletes - so this will be a major help! Trying to get even at the top of the day! As far as the bar period situation, I was experimenting with divisions of 23 hours when I noticed it. I figure there's specifics to how SC handles gaps and time, but I couldn't quite figure it out from the manual. Thanks so much again! |
