Resize text box via handles.

Left click on a text box places 3 dots on each side, as if handles. However, those handles do NOT stretch/resize box & text. User CAN move box. Right click offers properties>options>uncheck global font> select font & size. Why not simply drag handles, a very common operation in windows? (I have even programmed such myself.) How do we actually create a text box in SC? "Type Text" and "Stationary Text" tools is not what I'm looking for. I want to create a simple text box similar to the ones that SC engineers use when providing insight to SC tools and features.

Yeah it would be very helpful to be able to adjust the text box size... Is that possible now or is that option still unavailable? Just asking becouse I see that the post is from 2014, I was googling how to adjust txt on Sierra and found this thread...
