Running a chart with no custom studies. Attached a trade window. Received: An unhandled exception was caught in c_Chart::WindowProc. Message: 32769, wParam: 33758, lParam: 0 | 2014-10-02 03:18:57 *
Placed some orders with attached stops.Market moves through trigger price. Stop not activated on simulation platform, order continues to work. Is this enough information for you to diagnose? |

We need to be able to reproduce this problem. Are there any custom studies running within the Sierra Chart instance? If you restart Sierra Chart and open a single chart without any studies, can you reproduce this problem? Also, we see evidence that you are using Sierra Chart on WINE. If so, then we cannot commit any time to this and you should expect these kinds of issues since WINE is not perfect. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Yes, but not on the chart I was using to set the orders. If you restart Sierra Chart and open a single chart without any studies, can you reproduce this problem?
Yes.I have discovered what may be an idiosyncrasy with the software. Running a single chart, I have "chart trade mode on" unchecked. Then I "open trade window for chart". I place the orders using the pop out trade window. When the stop price trades, the order does not execute. If I turn on chart trade mode for the chart, the orders then execute as expected. I presume this is to do with the implementation of the simulation logic and would not occur in live trading as the order is then held at the exchange (native order type). |

Update: the issue appears to be that when a trade window for chart is opened but chart trade mode is unchecked, attached orders do not fill. However, when chart trade mode is turned on, Sierra does not allow the deselecting of "show orders and position", but orders fill as expected. I want to be able to launch chart trade windows without having orders/positions appear on the associated chart. Instead I am displaying and managing the orders elsewhere on the workbook. The unhandled exception appears to be related to a bug in one of my custom studies and I've verified that the order fill issue is independent of this. |

This is correct and we cannot offer further help with this.
