Thanks SC team. Yes this was intended. The folders must remain separate. Otherwise, conflicts would arise.
If the data source being the same - would still cause a conflict? Would imagine collecting/storing the data multiple times(each instance collecting it's own data - potentially for the same instrument) - wondering if it an efficient use of resources. Probably - having one dedicated instance just to collect data for each required instrument ( intraday file update list ) - one would be able to collect the data - which can technically be shared with multiple instances generated from this same data source. I am pretty sure - you might have given sufficient thought to this already, but somehow think - collecting the data for the same instrument multiple times/same data source seems a bit unusual. Would imagine - data collection job to be handled just by the primary instance as a master. Technically this shouldn't cause any conflicts and let the sub-instances use the same data folder - but use this new instance core to perform study calculations. I think this would be a bit more efficient compared to the current implementation of having all the individual instances have their own data folders with same instrument data(potentially). thanks Date Time Of Last Edit: 2016-03-22 21:26:21
