The scid file contains the downloaded data - that's all. The cht file contains your annotations on the chart. Scid file size just uses a bit of memory; and doesnt impact responsiveness. Thats more likely to be affected by the number of days you load on your chart ... in fact that impacts memory too so SC must be clever enough to only load what it needs from the scid file. I've got plenty of 20M scid files so I'm not sure that 7 is really large. Unless you know you have a problem (and you've tuned days loaded) I wouldn't worry. But yes you can rename files if you want to stop collecting that data at a certain point. |
