Trading the ASX SPI: I am explaining this based on a short trade. Selling 3 contracts at 5000. Initial stop for all 3 set at 5 points above = 5005 Price moves down and when at 1 point below entry = 4999 I buy 2 contracts = 2 points profit total. For 3rd contract would trail 1 point every time the market moves 1 point in my favor. Price moves further down and at 4 points down = 4996 the 3rd trailing stop which at that time is at 5001 "jumps" to breakeven = 5000 and changes from trailing to simple stop, and stays at 5000. Once trading has moved down 14 points to 4986 then the stop at 5000 changes to a 3 point trailing stop where the trailing stop is now at 4997. Assuming price moves further down, then at 20 points below entry point = price at 4980, then the stop changes from 4997 to 4992 That's it, thank you very much and hopefully you gurus can make it happen.
