I am trading from tick charts with bar fill times ranging from 45s to 5 min to give a bar range of at least 10t. The Volume by Price Study is set to cover the period from a significant high or low to the end of the chart with Bar Width Type = Period Length. As bars build in the chart the start point for the profile may still be relevant as it scrolls past the left border of the chart and the shape of the profile becomes increasingly less apparent unless Bar Width Type is changed to Window Width via Study Settings. Within the study you already have picked up Period Length and Window Width so I was hoping it would be possible to bring in the option switch automatically to Window Width when Period Length becomes greater than Window Width. The other way of achieving my objective would be to decrease Maximum Volume Bar Width Percentage (currently set to 50) as Period Length becomes greater than the width of the chart. Clearly it only takes a few seconds to make the Bar Width Type change manually, but I monitor 38 commodities and am on a mission to automate as much as possible. Volume by Price is an excellent study and I understand why you have not published the source code. Please consider my suggestion and, when time permits, bring in the option to switch automatically from Period Length to Window Width. Many thanks
