SC documentation states that the best data connection for SC to CQG is via FIX.

Sierra Chart does use FIX for trading with CQG. Market data uses what is called the CQG Web API which is not FIX based.

1. What do you think the future holds for data connections to CQG?
CQG currently is having some problems with their web API but eventually they are going to solve them. It is a relatively new interface to their system. So certainly there can be problems at times now. Nothing serious from what we can tell and we do have confidence they will eventually get the problems resolved.

2. When would you expect Windows XP to be unusable for SC/CQG?
We would not expect this anytime soon. Although we are planning to update to a newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ and perhaps that might create a compatibility problem with Windows XP. At this point we are not aware of that though.
