We are not following this thread too closely, But there is a new feature coming out in Sierra Chart hopefully in another couple of weeks that will allow you to launch a new instance of Sierra Chart with a simple command from the File menu. It will be able to access all the market data and trading functionality in the primary running instance. So this will let you run another Chartbook at the same time using a different CPU core and be able to place that on another monitor. We are also working on the capability to handle file writing, which really takes next to 0% CPU power to begin with, to a background thread. Based on all of our experience and testing this is not going to have any noticeable impact for users. At the current time it is only something that we use in our servers which handle thousands of symbols and very high data rates. In the latest releases, also Spreadsheets are much faster. Most of the CPU load comes from graphics output ( the drawing of the chart). Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
