- I mean does the user retain usage rights for developments that are paid for or do the developments become standard features in the program available to all users even though a user paid SC for the development of certain tools and features?
No. What we do is we reduce the price of the development to 50% or less of the actual cost. - If user retains rights, is it only for a specific period of time? Does user have to pay regular licensing fees to retain those rights? No. - If SC decides to make it available to everyone, does SC reimburse or buy back the rights? No. It is made available to everyone. Keep in mind, if there is something that you really require and it is not something we would normally add or do any time soon, then there is going to be a price attached to it. Assuming we would be willing to work on it to begin with and it is not necessarily that we would or we would have the time. - Is there written policy documentation available on this process? No. We also see your Sierra Chart account is not currently active and the last couple of payment attempts were rejected by your bank. In this case we recommend using PayPal. Sometimes some banks will reject payments to the particular payment processors we use and we cannot control that. They do that when certain security/fraud rules are met even though they are legitimate transactions. We do see an increase of this lately and it has been an annoyance. We will work with each user when this happens and offer an alternative. If you require a usage time extension, we can do that until you have a chance to work out the payment issue.
