I hope Wayne doesn't mind my interference. I, too, have questions on what happens after I've gotten a Sierra-based system up and running. Most importantly, how do I share it with others? Once I have a DLL ready, I know that I can upload the DLL to Sierra and ask them to open it up to so-and-so user. But that means those users need to have a copy of Sierra, especially if the DLL relies on "attached" orders. But what if the code does NOT use attached orders? And the user does not have a Sierra subscription? What if I want to put up my system for subscriptions through sites such as Striker.com or Collective2.com? These guys (or at least Striker) host the trading system on their own servers and buy/sell orders emanate from their servers, not the individual machines of users. Is it possible to deploy a Sierra-based system with such services? |
