this has solved the issue. thank you very much, this is great. i performed the procedure for every blank chart that was not getting data, and there are no more 'cannot find data' messages. curiously this relates to the issue i described above about charts resetting to Historical until these symbol pointers are manually updated by going through every step of selecting the symbol from the list. i now understand that Sierra requires this procedure to refresh its symbol and data folder references. but this is not clear from the interface, and it is clunky. i hope some automatic functionality, could be implemented whereby Sierra knows what's up at all times without user intervention. anyway thanks again, cheers |
